They buy it because it does everything without fuss, competently, quietly – and forever. And if – as many believe – CO2 is the enemy of the planet, then all that sensibleness oozing from every pore of the Auris Hybrid will be wonderfully appealing, especially as there is very little compromise needed to accommodate all that Hybrid Green-ness.

Inspired by the Carrera RS 2.7 in parts of its wardrobe, the 911 Sport Classic will be built in very limited numbers with just 250 cars planned. Perhaps on account of its price – it'll cost well over double the cost of a regular 911 Carrera S...The 911 Sport Classic is designed to showcase the bespoke skills of Porsche Exclusive, Stuttgart's do-anything-for-anyone personalisation division.
Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo brought to life by Mercedes-Benz
The new Gran Turismo 6 is a big deal (out on 6th December) and Mercedes-Benz are making sure they’re able to grab a bit of the glory by building a full scale concept of the Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo Supercar. The Vision Gran Turismo car has been created by Mercedes design team without the constraints of the real world, so we get a Mercedes supercar that goes a little beyond practical realities. There’s a great big statement grill that looks like an evolution of a 1950s Mercedes racer, a long bonnet, a compact cabin area and a back end with a tapered roof construct and huge bulging arches.
